About RankIt
RankIt is an Ontario-based restaurant discovery platform where the rankings come from the community — not sponsored listings or opaque algorithms. Founded in 2026, RankIt started in the Niagara Region and is expanding city by city across Ontario.
The platform combines AI-generated baselines with Bayesian-blended community votes to surface the best dishes in each city, down to the individual menu item. A user in Welland can find the highest-ranked chicken shawarma within 10 km, see which restaurants have the best community-verified photos, and rank their own favourites to help their neighbours discover great food.
RankIt is available on the web at eatrankit.com and as an iOS app (TestFlight). An Android app is in active development.

Community Rankings
RankIt seeds rankings with an AI baseline and refines them with community votes from local diners. Sponsored placements are clearly disclosed and never affect organic rank.
AI-Assisted Discovery
RankIt uses a Bayesian-blended scoring model that combines AI baselines with community votes, so new restaurants get fair coverage even before enough votes accumulate.
Dish-Level Granularity
Unlike platforms that rank restaurants, RankIt ranks individual dishes. Users can find the best margherita pizza in their city — not just a pizza restaurant.
